Dutch Bros does more than just sell coffee

Throughout the tri-cities there are many different coffee shops. They all have their differences, for example, types of drinks, prices, style, and they all do things for our community. Dutch Brothers, mostly known as Dutch Bros, is very well known throughout the Tri-cities. Many people enjoy drinks from Dutch Bros Coffee. Dutch Bros originally started up in the state of Oregon. They began as a very small business and that was not well known by many people. Today Dutch Bros is popular and has branched out to locations such as Oregon, Washington, California, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, and Arizona, Tri-cities alone has six shops. Dutch Bros does more than just sell coffee; they give back to our community. They participate in fund raisers, animal shelters and help families who have lost loved ones.

On Monday March 21st patrol officer; Nathan Taylor was struck by a car on the highway in Sacramento California. That same day Dutch Bros donated one dollar from every drink sold to Nathan Taylor’s family. They also had on site donation buckets for those who wished to donate more. Another example of how Dutch Bros helps their communities is in Phoenix, Arizona on February 4th all fourteen locations raised 11,000 dollars for friends for life animal rescue. Friends for life are a local nonprofit animal shelter that serves Phoenix, Arizona and its surrounding area. A third example is in Treasure Valley, Idaho on March 11th they raised 46,966 dollars for their local American society relay for life. Relay for life is an overnight fund raiser that joins the fight to end cancer. The last example is more of a personal one with an agreement between the employees at one of the shops here in Kennewick and me. If I show them my attendance and I can prove that I went to every class for the whole week the employees pay for my drink. This has improved my attendance greatly because it motivates me to go to every class for the week. Dutch Bros employees are very caring and they know that I skip one class at least every day so that is why they made this deal with me. Therefore I believe people should buy drinks from Dutch Bros because they help out their communities. When you buy a drink from Dutch Bros you are supporting them which is also supporting your community because they give back.
